Girls U15 Premier: We came up against a very tough Killarney Athletic side today in Killarney and a slow start ultimately cost us in a hard match. Much improved in the second half and 2 goals from Ava gave us respectability on scoreline. As usual these girls never gave up until the final whistle and with that attitude results will change soon.
Boys U14s: Samphires 7 v 3 Inter Kenmare B (Scorers: Evan Neary(2), Cody Deady, Jamie Hussey, Josh Ennis, Cormac Lawlor, Cathal Harris)
A decent win for our boys last Saturday in Fenit. We were on top for most of the game against a game Kenmare team. The goals we conceded will be a concern as we showed we can just switch off at times and allow opponents in to score under no pressure. Overall though, we played some very good football and created a good few chances. Well done to all concerned.
Boys U14s: Park C 2 v 5 Fenit B (Scorers: Scott Akenyemi(2), Ben Stack(2), Conor James)
A good outing by the 14s B team last weekend, we had a pretty decent performance from the lads against a good Park team. Though we are backboned by 14s, we are playing up some of the 13s to complete the squad and it is proving quite a good combination and all the players getting games. Well done to all who played on the day.
U13 Girls: Camp Utd 1 v Samphires (Scorers: Hannah Barrett-Neziri(3))
We had a hard fought 3-1 win away to Camp Utd on Saturday. We didn’t have the best of starts and went a goal down mid way through the 1st half. This seemed to focus the girls, and we were back level at the break thanks to a goal from Hannah Barrett- Neziri. We played much better in the 2nd half, and 2 more goals from Hannah B-N secured the win. Grace Foley was captain for the game, and girl of the match goes to Mia Falvey for a very solid defensive display. Thanks to all the parents that made the trip to support the team.
Boys U13s: Samphires 4 v 0 Cappamore Celtic (Scorers: )
Boys U13s: Park C 6 v 0 Fenit B
Fenit Samphires U12 Girls: Tralee Dynamos 0 v 0 Samphires
What a performance from these superstars today. We were short on numbers today with no subs. The girls gave it all and more. We were unlucky not to get the win. The match finished 0-0 v Tralee Dynamos.
