Boys U14:

Our U14s continued their unbeaten run when they played MEK in Fenit on Saturday morning.

On a bitterly cold morning our boys started slowly and were eventually punished by MEK for some poor defending.
From then on we started to grow into the game with Eddie McCarthy making the opposition work hard to preserve their lead. Finally we managed to break through with some excellent link up play between Dylan Ryan and Eddie McCarthy.
We continued strong for the remainder of the first half. We pushed on and Robert Monaghan made it two and again Ryan and Eddie linked up again to make it 3-1 by HT.
The second half was a closer half between the two teams but Fenit always looked in control and should have added to the scoreline.
Overall a good result as the boys continue to improve.
Players that stood out on the day were Eddie McCarthy Dylan Ryan and Bobby O Connor.

Girls U12:

On Saturday last, with great excitement, our under 12 girls headed off on the bus for their first away game to Killarney Celtic. We had a strong start and a mixture of great saves from Shauna and strong defending from Cara and Katie we kept a strong defence. Ciara and Lilly in midfield kept pushing the ball up to our forwards where Lana and Meah made some great shots at goals. Our hard work paid off and with a pass from Lilly, Aoife scored our first goal. We were down 2-1 going into the second half. We had more great defending  from Lily and Charlotte in defence with help from Emily, Grace and Maeve. The girls never gave up and up and despite continuous attempts from Grace and Erin, Killarney Celtic proved too strong for us and the game finished 5-1. The girls are so enthusiastic and they are improving all the time.  It was great to see so many parents travelling to support the girls too. See ye all at training Friday nights.
