Girls U14: Inter Kenmare 5 v 0 Samphires

A great performance by the girls in their first competitive match isn’t reflected by the scoreline but the Kenmare girls’ experience was the deciding factor. Our girls gave their all and can be proud of their efforts on the day. Training continues on Fridays 6-7 in Tralee Sports Complex.

Boys U15: Tralee Dynamos 2 v 2 Samphires (Scorers Christopher Nolan, Adam Doyle)

We made the journey to town last Monday to play Dynamos in the league. It ended level which was probably a fair result at the end of a game that swung both way over the course of the 80 mins. We went ahead from a Christopher Nolan free kick after 5 minutes. We were on top for a while and despite forcing a number of chances we didn’t add to our lead. In the last 15 minutes of the first half Dynamos got on top and scored when we failed to clear a cross. It stayed like this till half time. The second half started pretty evenly but the next score went the way of our opponents from a well taken corner. We upped our game in response and were rewarded with 5 minutes left on the clock through Adam Doyle who powered one home from the edge of the box. This was the final score so honours even at the end 2 all.

Boys U14: LB Rovers 0 v 3 Samphires (Scorers Eddie MacCarthy (2), Dylan Ryan)

Well done to our Boys U14 team who registered their first win last Saturday away to LB Rovers. All the boys played very well but Billy Walsh at left back and Robert Monaghan in midfield were outstanding. Training continues every Wednesday night at 7 in Fenit.
