Well done to the U16s who got the club off to a good start to the season with a good 3-1 win at home to Castleisland last Saturday. The first half was a cagey affair with both teams getting up to speed after the summer layoff. Both teams could have scored but it remained 0-0 at half-time. We had the wind behind us for the second half and took the lead 10 mins into the second half through Cormac Lynch. 10 minutes later we conceded an equaliser but our lads kept their heads and with 10 left on the clock we scored again this time through man of the match Gavin Burrows who worked tirelessly all over the pitch throughout. Liam Tobin added to our total scoring a beautiful lob a few minutes later to finish the contest.Well done to Donnachadh MacGarry and all his players and all the best to them for the season.
