Under15 Fenit Samphires 3 – 5 Killarney Celtic B
Last Saturday our 15s came a cropper against Killarney Celtic B losing 5-3 after a pulsating encounter. The game went to and fro throughout with both teams dominating at different times. We were 2 up after 20 minutes through Cormac Lynch and Dara Heim. Just as it seemed we would go on for a good win, Killarney came into the game and by half time it was 2 all. The second half started like the first and Edward Stack was fouled in the box and Eddie McCarthy scored the resultant penalty. But once again we conceded another one rather sloppily and it was game on. With 10 to go we found ourselves 4-3 down having being caught on the counter so we poured bodies forward looking for the equaliser and created a few chances, even hitting the bar but we couldn’t force it home and inevitably with a couple of minutes left we were caught again so it finished 5-3. Well done to all the players for a great effort.
