Well done to our U17 team, won their section of the league with a deserved victory against a game Listowel B team. We ran out 7-2 winners with Conor Lowe, Ed Moynihan, Cormac O Brien and Christopher Murphy on the scoresheet. Ciaran Carmody played in goals for us in the absence of Brian O’Regan and the injured Ciaran Murray and performed very well. 2 other players who deserve a mention were Cian Donnellan and Keaven McElligott who played their first game for the 17s team and both were excellent for us alongside their big brothers Sean and Alan. We move on now to a semi-final in Fenit against Listowel’s A team who qualified from the other section of the league.
Well done too to the U18s who beat Ballylongford easily in their last match of the league. This means that they now qualify as the top team from the Northern section and will play the second team from the Southern section in the semi-final of the competition. Our scorers were Christopher Murphy, Bobby O Regan, Dara O’Connor, Thomas Lenihan, Sean Higgins and Cormac O’Brien.
