Our 17s lost last weekend 7-1 after a disastrous first half performance when we conceded 6 to a very good Mastergeeha team. We were off the pace in all departments in this first half. Our defending was poor – our pressure of the ball and our covering of teammates was way off what was required. In attack our ‘shot selection’ was not good either and a number of good chances was spurned. The only crumb of comfort was the second half saw a big improvement with the lads showing some pride and spirit, despite the scoreline and the cold, wet weather conditions. So we move on from here, lick our wounds, try to build on that second half and get back to winning ways in the near future.
