Our U12s played their first game of the season last weekend at home to Killarney Celtic B. For a number of lads it was their first game ever and it took a while for the team to get their shape right. Unfortunately during this first 20 minute spell Celtic scored twice which was the difference in the end. Niall Cassidy and Micheal O’Sullivan played a half each in goals and both did very well. Sean Vieux,Conor Gaynor,Adam Dolan,Ciaran Tuite,Tom Gaynor and Paddy Walsh all played in defence at different stages of the game and once we sorted ourselves out we didn’t give up many chances even against the wind in the second half. In midfield and up front Dara Heim,Eddie Stack,,Conor Lenihan,Oisin Horgan played their hearts out and created a good number of chances and we converted 2. Edward Stack twice struck after some great work by Oisin and Dara.Subs Eoghan Walsh and Eddie McCarthy made their debuts for us in midfield and both added impetus to the team during the second half. We scored our 2nd with 10 minutes to go but were caught on the break 5 minutes later when we were on the all out attack.Well done to all the lads on a fantastic effort and thanks to all who supported us.
