U12s Lose Out In The End After Brave Effort

The U12s went to Killorglin last Saturday and ended up on the end of a 5-1 defeat. If this looks like a thrashing it couldn’t be further from the truth. It started poorly for us with 4 cry offs before we left so we only had 10 players. An early burst by Killorglin while we were trying to find our rhythm led to 3 early goals. It stayed this way until the half and our team found their way despite being down a man.David Ryle in goals had a stormer in this half. We scored a fabulous goal through Jack Falvey at the start of the second when he took the ball a long way before slotting past the keeper and we nearly scored a second immediately. We had a period of dominance through Cian Donnellan, ConorĀ  Gatynor and Colm Healy in particular but didn’t add to our total. Eventually the extra man told and we conceded 2 late ones so it was 5 – 1 at the end. Well done to all the lads and when we get the other lads back we hope to get back to winning points again. Don’t forget training is every Thursday night 7 to 8.15 in our pitch in Fenit-new players always welcome. Squad:David Ryle, Jack Falvey, Con Marley, Colm Healy, Conor Gaynor, Adam Dolan, Cian Donnellan, Aran Malik, Tom Gaynor, Brian O’Connor
