Our U11s put up a brave fight against a well organised Killarney Celtic team in the Cup last Saturday but came away on the wrong side of a 4-0 scoreline. Our players played their best football of the season but Celtic were bigger in all areas on the pitch and knew how to find the goal. Our lads were brave, especially the back four of Brian, Keevan, Colm and David and Max was super in goals. Cian in midfield had the measure of his opponents but we simply were unable to finish and get the ball into the net. Cian, Sean and Jack were very unlucky in front of goal but were denied by their keeper. We changed our formation at halft time by replacing Harry Vieux in midfield with Brian and putting Cian up front. Adam came into the wings and Tom into the backline. The 2nd half was a great match with Fenit being competitive in all areas. The scoreline is bleak but the boys some great passing football and if they keep playing like that it won’t be long before they get a well deserved win.
