Last Saturday we played our first match since November away to a very well drilled and skilful Listowel team and we ended up on the wrong side of a 7 nil scoreline. While it is easy to say that because we hadn’t played for a few weeks it was to be expected that we would be rusty and there is no doubt that we were, but this was easily our worst performance in a long while. We played only in patches and never defended properly at all. In the corresponding fixture last season we drew 1 all so all involved on the day must look at themselves and admit we should be capable of better than this but the desire to do so was missing. We need to address this and the first port of call is training during the week when we hope everyone will be there and bring the right attitude to the session.
