We began our season with a great home victory thanks to a hat trick from Cian Donnellan. We had a lot of possession in the first half and were unlucky to go two nil down as our goalie, Max Downing was superb and our defence of Colm Healy, David Ryle and Harry Vieux were working hard. Our mid-field of Bradley, Cian and Gavin were very quick and our strikers Keevan and Jack had a number of great chances. We made a few changes and brought on Adam, Sean and Liam and before long we were level when Cian used his speed to get past Camp’s defence. Brian O’Connor added a bit of speed down the wing and a great ball through from Keevan put Cian in for his hat trick. We added Conn Marley to the forwards and he worked well with Jack Falvey but Camp’s keeper was in top form and stopped a huge number of shots on the day. A great day overall for our team’s first league outing and they did us proud.
